I haven't updated as
much as I should on Merlin & Ellie. I purchased Merlin from Shari
when he was just over 4 months, part of that being the logistics
of getting him to northern Michigan. Merlin is quiet and gentle
but has a presence when he enters the room. There is a lot going
on behind those gorgeous eyes, as they say, "still waters
run deep". This dog has been very easy to train, loyal
and loving. My husband has a neurological disorder that causes
balance and coordination problems and is progressive. When
Merlin finishes growing, around two, we will look into having
him fitted with a ridgid harness for support when Tom goes
walking. He has the perfect temperment for this and will lay
at you feet all day.
I can't thank Shari enough for
these two wonderful dogs and for being the kind of breeder that
she is. It is a shame that there are other people out there
calling themselves breeders who don't have half the commitment,
after the money changes hands, that Shari does.

Merlin tends to save himself and his energy for other important
things like eating. If he were human he would be on the couch
with
the remote. I never get far from his sight though and he is
always
in tune to what I am doing. He is the dog that I can take anywhere
in any situation, off leash, with complete confidence. He is
extremely muscular and strong. And by the way, Grandma, still
has
his orange froggy that he picked out when I got him from you.
And,
Ellie still has the baby that you sent her with.
Due to my busy schedule and changes in my life this past year,
I
haven't been able to keep up on the progeny of M&M but
am sure that
all of you are as happy with your pups as I am with mine. It
is
hard to believe that their 3rd birthday is just around the
corner.
