December 2006:

Oh Lord the last thing that any one has to prompt me for is to tell them about the "BESTEST DOGGIE IN THE WORLD". Or at least he is tied because some people think their dogs are pretty awsome.

Well Todd takes the good boy to the dog park every day. (Mommie is not allowed to go because she gets a little freaked out when he wants to play and I think he might get hurt) Todd has had people bring their camera to the park and take pictures of Sasquatch and then develope them and give copies to Todd. One woman actually gave us a CD of Sasquatch pictures. And what is even funnier is that some of these people take the pictures to where they work to show their co-workers about the dog they have told them about. He has had some of the dog park regulars say that they would like Sasquatch over their dog. Now that is saying something.

My little puppy has turned into the most loving, kind, gentle, dorky, goober butt that you could imagine. He has a fan club where ever he goes. The local Seven Eleven employees (actually the owners) will leave the cash register and all of their customers to go to the car to visit our puppy. The are always trying to give him little treats, but we watch what he eats.

At the dog park Sasquatch is know as the "Peace Keeper". He does not allow any fights or any misbehavior. If he does not like the way things are going he will run up inbetween the dogs and just stand there. If that does not work he will put his mouth over the offending dogs neck, not bite down, and that stops it. Todd came home the other day and told me that we were going to have to start saving money because of Sasquatch. Of course I thought something was wrong with him, but then Todd told me that we need to get him an agent. He had been standing behind two people at the park when one of them pointed Sasquatch out and said "That is the dog I was telling you about. You can let your dog play with Sasquatch and he will be protected."

However my son has some girlfriends. He has 3 of them at the dog park alone. However they are all a lot smaller than he is. One is a Pit Bull puppy, one is a very small Dalmation and the other one is a Chocolate Lab puppy. When they come in the park they will run at Sasquatch, and run right into him and knock themselves on their butts. Then Sasquatch will lay down and let them bite on him for a while. He does get kind of irritated when they keep on trying to give him kisses. He really is not into the mush.

That brings us to another part of this wonderful beings personality. When ever he is at the park it is a "hump free zone", Todd's words. He just will not put up with any of that kind of behavior.

But the thing that I love the most is when he gives me loving, He will get on the couch and hold my hand for hours. Or we will lay on the floor and hold hands. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

He brings such joy to every one he encounters and that does my heart good. More later, Heidi
