Maddi is our "purple" girl from our M&M3 litter.
She almost went to live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, but luckily
for us, Jason and Shannon decided to take our Peach Keen girl
although it was a tough decision for them. Shannon still has a
special feeling for our Maddi.
Maddi began her show career in January 2005 and
what a great first show event she had in Hutto, Texas for the IABCA
show. She did everything but win Best In Show. Due to an injury,
I had my very good friend, Jessica, show her and they made a great
team. Maddi earned her first puppy championship that show weekend.
Maddi's second show event came the 4th of July weekend, again in
Hutto and again with IABCA. She took Best of Breed Puppy all four
shows and took Group 2's and Group 3's after that. Not quite as
successful as our first show experience, but she again earned her
next level Puppy Championship. Again, Jessica showed Maddi, three
of the four shows, with me showing her in one of them.
Maddi is so very loveable but easily gets her feelings hurt.
She is constantly under something when she is resting whether it
be the little shed outside that she dug a huge hole under, the
portable storage building, or even my bed (and she really has to
squeeze to get in and out from under there. . LOL) She loves the
water as do all our M&M's. . .they take after their dad. .
. And she loves belly rubs by Joe.
Maddi enjoys going places even though she usually gets carsick
on the way to wherever we are going. We recently made a trip
to Houston for a small Shiloh get-together. We took Maddi, Krissi & Kaci
and they all had a great time with the other Shilohs and all
the people and children they met that afternoon.
I will be working with her to get her ready to certify as a Delta
Society Therapy Dog later this year and then next year when she
is old enough she will take her mother's place in our breeding
program as long as all her health testing comes back good. She
will be getting her eyes and heart certifications in January
2006 and then she will also be getting her hips done sometime
prior to that. Elbows will be done at 2 years of age.
