I wanted to let you know that Hanah and I made it home today in good time! Got home about 4:00 p.m. About 30 minutes out of W. Memphis, we drove out of the rain and gradually into mostly clear skies for the rest of the trip home. This made it soooo much better for all of the rest breaks along the way! I had visions of spending the entire trip in the pouring rain. Sorry, Shari...I guess I felt the pressure to get going early for naught!! I wish we had had more time to relax and visit, but I'm so pleased to finally have met you, no matter what the circumstances.

Hanah traveled beautifully--about 15 minutes into the trip, she crashed (I mean CRASHED) and slept soundly until noon. (I woke her up for one rest break, but she knocked right back out again). I don't think she got any sleep at the hotel (neither of us did), and it caught up with her, as it will with me tonight! She has thoroughly checked out the house--inside and out--and I think she's going to accept us! As I write, I'm finding the kong toy in my lap every few minutes for throwing. She's going to be happy here, I know!
